SBTC Welcomes New Business Analyst
The Southside Business Technology Center (SBTC) in partnership with Virginia Tech hired Mr. Stere Mergeani as a full –time Business Analyst to satisfy the growing demand of Southside businesses for SBTC consulting services. SBTC has successfully delivered seven and currently is working on six management consulting projects for local businesses. In addition, SBTC is negotiating future consulting assistance with other local and regional companies.
SBTC offers top quality management consulting services to local and regional companies and entrepreneurs for non-profit fees. SBTC areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: business planning, market research and analysis, financial forecasting, operational planning, etc. The center also offers internship opportunities to students from local and regional colleges and universities who are exposed to real business problems and learn to enhance their strategic thinking.
Mr. Mergeani graduated from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro’s Bryan School of Business MBA program in May 2005. He has a broad perspective on all functional areas within a corporation as well as in-depth knowledge of each of the business functions: cost management, corporate finance, strategic marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, human resources, information technology and ERP systems, management science and overall corporate strategy. In addition to his corporate professional experience, Mergeani had interned with Merrill Lynch and SBTC in the past.
As SBTC’s Business Analyst Mergeani will manage several new management consulting projects and work with interns from area colleges and universities. SBTC welcomes student applications for paid and unpaid internship opportunities from all regional schools. The MBA courses offered him a broad perspective on all functional areas within a corporation as well as in-depth knowledge in each of the business functions: cost management, corporate finance, strategic marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research, human resources, information technology and ERP systems, management science and overall corporate strategy.
