Southside Business Technology Center hires a new Executive Assistant

The Southside Business Technology Center (SBTC) in partnership with Virginia Tech hired Mrs. Regina C. Haynes, of Bassett, Virginia, as a full–time Executive Assistant.

Mrs. Haynes graduated from Averett University in Danville, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1995. She has an Associates degree in Business Management and General Studies from Patrick Henry Community College and is a Certified Professional Secretary. Until recently, Mrs. Haynes was an Executive Assistant at Hooker Furniture Corporation, Martinsville, Virginia. She was an employee of Tultex Corporation and acted as Corporate Secretary and Manager of Shareholder Relations until its closing in 2000.

Ms. Haynes’ duties at the SBTC include overall administrative, office management and accounting functions of the organization. "I look forward to the opportunity to work at the SBTC and hope to make a positive contribution to the organization and the community.” (Regina Haynes)

SBTC areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: business planning, market research and analysis, financial analysis, organizational analysis, etc. The center also offers internship opportunities to students from local and regional colleges and universities who are exposed to real business problems and learn to enhance their analytical thinking.
