Valleys Innovation Council, an affiliate of Verge, in partnership with The Launch Place, the Appalachian Council for Innovation and Blue Ridge PBS are coming together to expand the PitchPlus program to company founders seeking education, technical assistance and mentoring with respect to financing the growth of their high growth potential startup companies. A “Capital Connection” in-person event is planned at The Launch Place’s Danville office at 527 Bridge Street where founders can get connected with angel and venture capital investors and banks.

Greg Feldmann - Greg Feldmann, President of Skyline Capital Strategies, LLC, has been retained as the Senior Advisor to The Launch Place Seed and Pre-Seed Funds. Greg brings more than 30 years of experience serving in roles related to commercial banking, strategic advisory work, corporate financing, investment banking and executive/board leadership positions in both public and private companies. Greg is an acknowledged subject matter expert in strategic planning, executive and board leadership, and line of business management. He is a strategic thinker with ability to translate plans into action. During his career, Greg has served as President and CEO of three community banks including StellarOne Bank, First National Bank of Christiansburg, and Salem Bank & Trust. Greg received a B.A. in Classical Studies from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a Baker Scholar and selected for inclusion in a variety of academic and leadership honorary fraternities including Phi Beta Kappa, ODK, Eta Sigma Phi, and Phi Alpha Theta. He has undertaken advanced studies in commercial banking through the University of Virginia’s banking programs, successfully passed the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities exams and completed the NVCA’s venture capital certificate program. In 1989 he was awarded a National Leadership Fellowship by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, which he used to study privatization and the threats posed by development to the world’s rainforests.
Amber Farley - Amber Farley is the Branch Leader and Assistant Vice President at Truist Bank in Danville, Virginia. She began her career with BB&T in 2013, and in the most recent two years has become the branch’s local small business specialist. Since becoming branch leader, she has guided her team and clients through one of the largest bank mergers in history all while becoming one of the top performing branches in the region. Truist’s mission is to inspire and build better lives and communities. Through this mission she is well equipped to guide her clients in building and growing their small businesses. Her goal is to continue to make a difference in her clients lives by providing sound advice on how they can best navigate the start and growth of their business.
Eva Doss - Eva Doss is the President and CEO of The Launch Place (TLP), a venture development organization located in Danville, VA and in the Research Triangle Park, NC. The Launch Place invests in innovative start-ups with a potential to create economic impact in the Dan River Region from its pre-seed and seed investment funds. In addition to the investments, TLP provides business consulting, training, mentoring and office space to entrepreneurs. Eva has over 25 years of experience in business consulting, business development and pre-seed and seed investment fund establishment and management both in the United States and in Europe. Eva has worked with Booz Allen, RTI International, and the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington, D.C. Eva has an MBA and BS in business administration, a post-graduate Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management. She is a member of the Angel Capital Association Board of Directors and serves on several other corporate boards in North Carolina and Virginia, and speaks several languages.
