Elaine Bolle is an active angel investor, board director and advisor leading domestic and global organizations from start-ups to $750M+ enterprises. She has built and successfully exited several early stage venture backed companies including Achex, a payment processor, sold to First Data Corp. She currently focuses on early stage entrepreneurial ventures serving on several boards including RTP Capital Associates, an angel investing network in North Carolina; the Angel Capital Association. She is an Entrepreneur in Residence at First Flight Venture Center one of the nation’s largest high science incubators. She also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Triangle NC.
Throughout her career she has held management roles in strategic marketing and brand management, business development and sales and fund-raising, mergers and acquisitions. Her industry expertise includes financial services and consumer goods and services. Ms. Bolle was the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Western Union, leading the consumer payments businesses worldwide. She was a Vice President and Senior Director of Citicorp Global Payments and at Quaker Oats, she conceived, built and managed the new wholesome snack business “Quaker Chewy Granola Bars. Ms. Bolle has an MBA and a BA from the University of Michigan.
Timothy J. Cartwright is a partner at Fifth Avenue Family Office. Fifth Avenue Family Office provides a broad range of services ranging from investment management to sophisticated estate planning, evaluation of private equity and venture investment opportunities, thoughtful multi-generational legacy transfers and lifestyle services. Mr. Cartwright serves as volunteer Treasurer of the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation and was recently named as one of Florida Trend’s 500 Most Influential Floridians due to his venture capital and private equity activity with the Tamiami Angel Funds and Adrenaline Venture Fund.
Prior, he co-founded By-Products Interactive, an electronic trading, market research and publishing company; and Benchmark Solutions, a supply chain consulting company. He began his career working with middle market companies at Arthur Andersen in Chicago, Illinois. He resides in Naples with his wife and three children. He is a softball coach, a soccer coach, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Naples.
Martin J. "Marty" Kaszubowski
Marty Kaszubowski has over 35 years of experience with a broad spectrum of public- and private-sector organizations promoting new venture formation, early-stage investment, technology commercialization, and innovation-led economic development. Marty currently serves as Executive Director for Innovation Initiatives within Old Dominion University’s newly-created Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, which offers a collection of integrated services for existing and new businesses, with an emphasis on the formation of new, high-growth ventures. Prior to his time at ODU, Marty was President of General Ideas, a technology venture consultancy working with US and European start-ups and early-stage companies seeking to establish viable business models and prepare for initial investment. He is a member of several startup company boards and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Launch Place, StartWheel, The Hampton Roads Innovation Collaborative, Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology, and the Norfolk State University Research and Innovation Foundation.
Marty holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Science Degree in Technology Management from the George Washington University
Director, NRV; The Launch Place Seed Fund Advisory Board
Paul Nolde has over a decade of experience in the banking and finance industries, serving in multiple sales and management roles. As a director at NRV, an early stage venture capital firm in Richmond, VA, Paul co-leads their overall business development strategies and their discernment process around new investment opportunities, as well as supporting several portfolio companies. Prior to arriving at NRV, he served as the Small Business Capital Strategist for Virginia Community Capital, Virginia’s largest community development financial institution. In this capacity Paul was responsible for building the firm’s venture debt portfolio focusing on growth companies, social enterprises, and healthy foods.
Before coming to VCC he was Managing Director of a family office in Richmond, VA, preceded by positions at Wells Fargo, Union First Market Bank, Bank of America, and Wachovia. He is an active participant in, and advocate for, Virginia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, serving on the boards of several local and regional organizations, as well as on various boards at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia. Paul graduated from UVA in 2001 with a B.A. in Foreign Affairs, complimented by post-grad business studies through the McIntire School of Commerce Business Institute. He lives in Richmond, VA, with his wife, two young boys, and Alaskan Husky.

Autumn Visser is a member of the Business and Corporate, Emerging Growth, Antitrust and Intellectual Property Law practice teams at Woods Rogers. She concentrates on contract drafting and negotiation, general corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and venture and seed capital financing. Autumn also works on antitrust concerns, government contracts, licensing, and real estate.
Prior to Woods Rogers, Autumn spent five years in-house as Corporate Counsel for a global consumer products manufacturing company headquartered in the United States with offices in Australia, Canada, France, and South Africa. In this role, Autumn managed the legal functions for seven diverse business lines and was the key contact for all outside counsel.
Autumn is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations and a minor in journalism. She earned her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, Calif., where she worked on the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges and was a founding member of the Legal Waves. Autumn serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia.

Mark Friedman is a founding member and President of RTP Capital Associates, Inc., an angel investor network based in Research Triangle Park, NC. Mark is currently CEO of Lakeview Business Advisory and Management, Inc. Additionally, he is an Executive Advisor to Excelerate Health Ventures Fund II and a member of the Seed Stage Advisory Board for the Launch Place. He is also chairman of the nationwide series of educational conferences--the Mid-Sized Retirement and Plan Management Conferences.
Mark has been involved with many entrepreneurial and later stage businesses in senior operating roles or as an investor/adviser. He served as CEO of Cutting Edge Information, LLC, a leader in providing Fair Market Value databases and market research to the pharmaceutical industry. Earlier, Mark was a member of the senior management team and Vice President of Development for Affordable Care, Inc, one of the largest dental support organizations in the country having affiliation with more than 260 Affordable Dentures and Implants practices in 39 states. Before that, Mark was COO and Director of UAI Technology and its Phoenix-Hecht, University Conference Services and Alexander Business Suites divisions as well as past President of Mid-Jersey Realty, LLC. He was also president of Garden State Dental, LLC, a Dental Support Organization, and Group Dental Health Administrators, Inc., a dental insurance company, and President of Leonard Financial Planning Systems.
He has his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester, his MBA from Duke University and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.
